Hutchinson: Who are we? Where are we starting?

Welcome to the beginning of our Inquiry Notebooking project.  Because teachers from Van Arsdale and Hutchinson will be working on this project and sharing ideas throughout the year, it makes sense that you should know each other and each other's work.

Hutchinson 1/2 Multi-Age

Debby Lawson

Pauline Henning (Teacher-Librarian)

Debby Lawson has been teaching multi-age classrooms for many years. Since 1994 she’s been doing ½ multi-age at Hutchinson. Teacher-Librarian Pauline Henning co-teaches with Debby to support students in science. This is Pauline's 20th year as a teacher-librarian.   Debby's first and second grade students are showing a wide range of abilities this year.

Focus for Inquiry Cycle One

Debby wants to work with the Inquiry Notebooking team to find more ways of how to incorporate inquiry into her instruction. Because of her unique situation, she wants to continue to meet the needs of her students through integrating her subjects throughout her day.
